October 1, 2026: IRCC lands 3,500 trades workers with language exam
On October 1, 2026 IRCC opened the Express Entry permanent residency door for 3,500 trades workers (construction & butchers) from across Canada who have passed the language exam .
The good news is that IRCC recognizes the need for construction workers and butchers.
It’s also good news that IRCC understands that GTA was built, and continues to be built, by people who cannot pass the language exam. 
Canada is the only country that regularizes immigration status for economically required construction workers. For this, we are grateful
